What we do

From Incarceration to Restoration

FBI Ministry transforms lives through a holistic model of faith, family, and freedom. Our programs meet people where they are—inside the system and beyond the gates.

Day with Dads

A powerful in-prison event where incarcerated fathers reconnect with their children in a safe, joy-filled space. These moments build memories, restore trust, and strengthen bonds that time alone can’t break.

Mother’s Day Program

A one-of-a-kind celebration where men invite their mothers inside the unit for a day of honor, worship, and reconnection. It's emotional, healing, and unforgettable—for both sides of the glass.

Mother's Day Gift Basket Giveaway

Incarcerated men and women nominate their mothers to receive a custom care basket by writing heartfelt letters. Each gift carries a message of love, healing, and hope across prison walls.

Spiritual Restoration

Weekly in-unit worship services and spiritual mentorship help men and women discover their identity in Christ, build community, and experience lasting inner transformation.

Reentry Support

We walk with returning citizens as they rebuild their lives—providing housing, ID recovery, transportation, employment connections, and encouragement every step of the way.

Meet Albert Yancey

Albert J. Yancey III is a nationally recognized speaker, reentry advocate, and founder of Faith Beyond Incarceration (FBI Ministry)—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to restoring the lives of justice-impacted individuals and their families.

At just 17 years old, Albert was sentenced to life in prison. Over the next 27 years, he experienced a profound transformation—earning degrees, mentoring others, and ultimately giving his life to Christ. Behind bars, he discovered his purpose: to help others break the cycle of incarceration through faith, healing, and holistic support.

Since his release in 2019, Albert has led programs inside prisons, reunited families through powerful in-unit events, and helped returning citizens rebuild their lives with dignity. His story has inspired audiences across schools, churches, and state legislatures—and continues to prove that no one is beyond the reach of redemption.

Second Chance & New Beginning Interview

FROM LIFE SENTENCE TO LIFE PURPOSE Recently, I had the honor of sitting down for an interview with WorkFaith Connection, an organization that played a significant role in helping me rebuild my life after nearly 28 years of incarceration. When I was released from prison in 2019, I quickly realized that freedom was only the beginning of a new journey. While I had spent years preparing mentally, spiritually, and emotionally for my release, I still needed practical tools to successfully navigate today's workforce and society. That is where WorkFaith stepped in. Through their training, mentorship, and workforce development programs, they helped me understand everything from interviewing skills and resume preparation to workplace expectations and professional communication. More importantly, they helped restore confidence and reminded me that my past did not have to dictate my future. Today, I am blessed to serve as the Founder and Executive Director of Faith Beyond Incarceration Ministry, mentor men and women returning home from prison, operate a business, speak throughout Texas, and advocate for second chances. None of this happened overnight, and I certainly did not get here alone. Organizations like WorkFaith prove that when people are given opportunity, support, accountability, and hope, transformation is possible. One of the greatest lessons I learned is this: Your setback may explain your story, but it does not determine your destination. I am grateful to the entire WorkFaith team for investing in my life when I needed direction and support. Their commitment to helping individuals overcome barriers to employment continues to impact countless lives throughout our communities. As someone who now works daily with justice-impacted men and women, I can personally testify that employment is often one of the most important keys to successful reentry. When individuals have the opportunity to work, provide for themselves, and contribute positively to society, entire families and communities benefit. Thank you, WorkFaith, for allowing me to share my story and for continuing to be a beacon of hope for so many. "Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." — Philippians 1:6
